NFL in the UK

without comments

Well I can’t be a UK based NFL blogger without offering some thoughts on the Giants Dolphins game on Sunday. There is a big NFL following here in the UK and it’s great to see a regular season game at Wembley. It’s a shame that the Dolphins are on such a bad run of form as it looks as though it could be a real one sided affair on Sunday. The Giants are on a roll after a 0-2 start and will be looking to inflict an 8th defeat on the Dolphins.

without comments

The Bucs head back to the RayJay after a tough loss on the road to the Detroit Lions. Despite the fumbles that cost them the game the Bucs will be buoyed by the offensive performance led by Jeff Garcia and Earnest Graham. The Jags are 4-2 and had started to get on a roll until they came up against the Superbowl Champion Colts. However the loss was made worse when it was revealed that starting QB David Garrard will miss 3-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain.

Bucs Fumble Away Win To Lions

without comments

Somehow the Bucs managed to come away from Ford Field without the win on Sunday, thanks in part to two uncharacteristic fumbles. The game changing fumble was recovered by Detroit at their 7-yard line when the Bucs looked odds on to score. The Lions capitalised on the error and scored nine plays later when Calvin Johnson scored on a reverse. The touchdown drive took 5:21 off the clock and put the game out of reach of the Bucs despite a spirited comeback. The Bucs are now 4-3 and next the face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite the best efforts of Graham the Bucs lost in Detroit
