Tampa BayWatch – My Thoughts on the Bucs

Injury Crisis for the Bucs at RB

with one comment

The injury jinx seems to have struck the Bucs again. RB Michael Pittman was helped from the field against the Colts last night after a run in the 4th quarter. Pittman was helped off the field on a cart and his injury has been described as an ‘ankle sprain’.

Coach Jon Gruden described Pittman’s injury as a sprained ankle, but said his status will be updated on Monday. “We’re calling it that right now,” Gruden said. “We don’t know the severity of it.” ESPN.com

For the Bucs it’s another blow to a severely depleted RB core after Cadillac Williams was lost to IR after last weeks game against the Panthers. The only fully fit RB left is Kenneth Darby the rookie from the Crimson Tide. I, like the rest of the Bucs fans must be hoping that Pittmans injury isn’t too serious but being helped from the field on a cart things do not look good.

I just realised that i somehow forgot that we still have Earnest Graham on the roster and will now inherit the#1 RB position rather than just having Darby

  1. What about Graham? He is still healthy, right?

The injury to Luke Petitgout was huge. No matter who’s running the ball for Tampa, the Bucs running game just isn’t the same without Petitgout in there.
